January 18th ASQ Professional Dinner Meeting

Keynote Speaker:  Wali Alam (Main Room I/J/K)

Presentation: Corrective Actions-Preventive Actions-Risk Management—What’s the difference?

Link to presentation slides: Wali Alam Keynote Slides

Abstract: Over the last 30 years, It was bad enough trying to explain the difference between Corrective Actions, Preventive Actions, and never mind “Corrections”. Now we have added Risk Based Thinking. What is a Quality Person supposed to do? Actually, it may finally make sense. This presentation will explain the four pillars of a Quality Management System, and synthesize these into a harmonious, interlocking, and synergetic system for Continuous Improvement. You will leave with the defining approach and a template to get the most $$ benefit out of your QMS.
