Chair’s Corner, Apr 2015                                  ASQ 1405 Greater Houston Chapter

It’s that time of the year. No, not just the allergy season, but the time when that other major annual event occurs – ASQ’s World Conference on Quality and Improvement. This event is on May 4 – 6 in Nashville, TN. With more than 2,500 attendees from around the world, the World Conference is a premier international event for quality professionals. ASQ HQ is assisting us with tips on ‘How to convince your boss that you NEED to be at this conference” - The theme for the conference is ‘Transforming the World through Innovation, Inspiration, and Leadership’.

Like in the past years I expect to see a large contingent from Houston attending the world conference. Several members have sent me a note asking if others from Houston are looking to car pool/ hotel share in Nashville, so as to cut down on the expenses. Others felt that we can meet up Sunday night or during the conference and share our experiences by collaborating on the various session learnings. Wonderful ideas! So send me a note if you are attending and if you wish to partner up with others from Houston. I will post this on our LinkedIn group as well.
