Keynote Speaker: Fabrice Bouchereau
Presentation: Building Improvement Kanbans
The name "Kanban" originates from the Japanese word for signboard or billboard. In the traditional approach, Kanbans were implemented to signal to workers what to build next, or what parts to retrieve. Today’s “Improvement Kanbans” are visual project communication and prioritization tools leveraged by improvement teams to coordinate project selection and execution based on complexity and return on investment. This session introduces attendees to an overview of the in depth process analysis methodology leveraged to develop these “Improvement Kanbans”
Pre-Dinner Speaker (Tutorial 1) Main Room: Wali Alam
Presentation: The New ISO 9001:2015
ASQ Houston has organized a series of discussion forums facilitated by Wali Alam to help interpret, implement and audit the new requirements. Wali and his colleague, Michael Prior have provided two sessions already, and the third one will be on October 15. This one is especially noteworthy: Wali is a presenter at the ASQ’s International Conference on Standards on Nov 9-10, and he will present some of the material he intends to use there.

Wali will also present methods for implementation, especially the Risk Based Thinking approach. Be sure to attend at 5:30!!
