Topic: Leading as a Change Agent

This presentation will cover career management and the business environment, as well as Mr. Smith will discuss how he got his start working in quality. He will share what he does and how he does it. A list of recommended readings will also be provided for those interested in further study.

Mr. Smith currently works in the material handling industry, leading a team implementing software applications. In his first position out of the Army, he received two books that would guide his career, “The Goal” and “Lean Thinking." He has spent nearly all of his career in make-to-order job shops. He received formal Six Sigma Black Belt training ...

Mr. Smith currently works in the material handling industry, leading a team implementing software applications. In his first position out of the Army, he received two books that would guide his career, “The Goal” and “Lean Thinking." He has spent nearly all of his career in make-to-order job shops. He received formal Six Sigma Black Belt training through ASQ and training in Lean Manufacturing while working in private equity. Mr. Smith holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point, Class of 1992.
