Presentation: Risk Based Inspection in the Oil and Gas Industry

A lot of us in the quality field followed a path from expertise in one field into quality oversight of that realm of work. Are there some common factors that draw us to this endeavor or is it just luck of the draw. I think my career path is pretty typical and I’d like to spend some time describing journey.

With The release of ISO9001:2015 and its emphasis on risk thinking across the Quality Management System I thought that a discussion on Risk Based Inspection would be appropriate. Since I am in the oil and gas industry I will discuss how we have used RBI and some of the tools that guide our development of an inspection regime
