Saraiva

Speaker: Dr. Pedro Saraiva

Topic: Structured Improvement for the 21st Century: A New Model from Europe

In the 21st century, more than ever before, quality concerns and issues have become larger in their scope, both local and global in the ways they have to be addressed, solved or even dreamed about.

This raises a number of very interesting challenges for the present and future professionals in the field of quality.

We will provide some examples for the above views on the state of quality, from several different perspectives, and discuss in more detail the particular efforts that are being developed by an IAQ Team in order to define and implement a well defined structured improvement model, that may help in addressing a wide variety of problems, defined at multiple scales or domains for quality practical implementation.

As for final conclusions, we will identify some possible avenues regarding the evolution of quality, hoping that many of us will play an active role in its construction, under a world undergoing quick transformations, and where it is clear that leading geographies are also changing very fast.
