Program Committee Volunteers Needed

ASQ Section 1405 Programs Committee is actively seeking volunteers to assist during the 2010-2011 year. The Programs Committee's primary responsibility is to coordinate the monthly dinner meeting speakers. In addition, the committee is looking for volunteers to assist with the planning of a new ASQ Section 1405 mini-conference tentatively scheduled for 2012.

The volunteer positions available are:

• Speaker Coordinator

coordinate with the speaker 1-2 months before the date, and work out the logistics,
be the host during the dinner meeting
get the dinner program uploaded on web
ensure speaker gift, and send thank you note

• Speaker Capture

Advertize for potential speakers
Select speakers, and get agreement on do’s and don’ts.
Agree on financial arrangements, if any

• Mini-conference Coordinator

Work with speaker capture person to identify enough speakers for one-day mini-conference
Get agreements with speakers
Work with Arrangements person to identify proper conference venue
Prepare budget, and execute
Work with speaker coordinator
