My name is Keith Pache, and I’m your new Section Chair. We have a great leadership team in place, and plans for another year of great programs. You can always see what’s going-on by poking around on our website ( http://www.asqhouston.org/ ). You’ll see Upcoming Events right on the home page, and of course links to a wealth of other information for our Section (even a few of our pictures).
While attending the ASQ World Conference in Anaheim, we were talking about membership, and one of our Directors asked: Why is anyone a member of anything?? It’s because they perceive value. As quality professionals, we’re passionate about quality, and making our products and services even better. He challenged us as Section Leaders to deliver that member value!!
To do this, we have to understand what you as members need, what you want, and deliver it. Sounds pretty simple, but it’s not. We don’t have any mind readers on our leadership team, so we’re going to be asking for your ideas. And since this is a volunteer organization, we also need your help to implement those ideas (at least the really good ones). So don’t be shy, let us know how we can make your ASQ membership the most valuable membership you have; and volunteer to help, if you can.
