October 2010 Chair's Corner

Dear Section Members:

I trust that you are in best of your health and enjoying the football season!

We had one of the largest turn-out of the membership during the September professional development dinner meeting. I hope that the September program related to oil spill was very informative for everyone.

The announcement from Education Committee for the next wave of the refresher courses starting in October is already posted on our website and calendar. Our goal is to offer refresher course for each ASQ certification exam, please take the benefit of this offering and spread the word in our community.

As part of our expanded Community Outreach Program, ASQ Section 1405 is proud to offer its membership the opportunity to participate in Rock The Cure, 2010 Walk to Cure Diabetes. The event is on November 6th. For more details, please visit the calendar of events on our website.

We have a great program lined up for October Professional Development Meeting which will be of interest to many of you as it educates us on the systems’ approach of process improvement. I look forward to seeing you at the October 21st professional development meeting.
